Other World Wine - Jumi-Juma (6x750ml - 13% ABV)

The wine comes from the Southern tip of Moldova - a region sandwiched between Romania and Ukraine, within view of the Black Sea. The appellation is called The Valul lui Traian - it is one of the oldest winemaking areas in the world. Here, humble villagers and esteemed professionals alike have been creating wine for 7,000 years. The region is defined by long, sloping, undulating hills, clay soil and vast lakes.

  • Appearance: the colour of the wine is lemon-gold, getting slightly paler around the edges

  • Aroma: fresh grapefruit, blood orange, lemon peel, and lychee in abundance. There’s also plenty of floral and aromatic notes of honeysuckle and acacia

  • Palate: bursting full of flavour: ripe apricot, peach, nectarine, lychee and white melon flood the palate. There’s a waxy texture that lines the inside of your mouth before melting away and leaving a pronounced flavour with high acidity.

  • Finish: The wine has a long finish - you’ll still be savouring the taste 15-20 seconds after the first sip has gone down
